Thanks for stopping by my page! Here’s a little info about me 🙂
I am a registered dietitian based in NYC. I received my undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from New York University and completed my dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I gained an immense amount of experience and knowledge in various areas of nutrition including community nutrition, clinical nutrition, college campus dining, and more. You can visit my blog www.fromnyctoboston.wordpress.com to read more about my life during the dietetic internship.
I am currently a community registered dietitian for the WIC program in Lower Manhattan NYC where I work to improve the health status of low income pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and their children up to 5 years old. My job is extremely rewarding, allowing me to educate others on healthy eating and lifestyle. When I am not working, you can find me taking a spin class or testing healthy recipes in the kitchen!
I love all things health and food related and am a contributor to Dine Out Dietitian, a website where RDs write restaurant reviews and share some of their favorite healthy restaurants. I love dining out and have a love and great respect for chefs that can make dishes both healthy and delicious.
I also have a strong passion for mentoring nutrition students and future RDs. I speak at career panels, internship fairs, and also meet with students all over NYC. So if you are an RD-to-be, you know where to find me!
This blog is meant for me to share some of my favorite nutrition and food-related things 🙂 Hope you enjoy it!
